Spied! Possible prototype of Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo caught in nature

At this year's Geneva Motor Show, Porsche unveiled a new turning point in the Electrical Mission E concept that we had seen for the first time in 2015. Called the Mission E Cross Turismo, the latest concept of Porsche looked a lot like an improved version of the Panamera Sport Turismo. At the time, Porsche had admitted that the Cross Turismo would go into production, but it was not known when that would happen. Based on these snapshots, the production version is almost complete.

The prototype that our photographer filmed does not look as futuristic as the concept, but that's to be expected. The production Cross Turismo would probably never have contrasts of wing lights or blue wheels. It's not that we were complaining if Porsche decided to offer one of its Taycan variants with optional blue wheels. It would be really cool.

It also seems that this prototype has a lower ride height than the concept, which could announce the plans of Porsche to position the production Cross Turismo as a more conventional break. But since the concept included an air suspension that could raise and lower the vehicle by several centimeters, the prototype could also simply operate at road height.

Whether it's Cross Turismo or Sport Turismo, expect the long-roofed Taycan to use the same electric powertrain as the sedan. This means that two engines send a combined total of more than 600 hp to all four wheels and can reach a speed of 100 km / h in less than 3.5 seconds. And while the Taycan should only be around 300 miles long, Taycan's 800-volt charging system should allow it to add up to 250 miles in less than 15 minutes.
