Step by step guide to the Pokemon Go Meltan quest

With the arrival of Pokemon: let's go, Pikachu and Pokemon: Let's go, Eevee comes a new special search quest in Pokemon Go theme around the new mythical Pokemon Meltan.

the Pokemon Go Meltan Research has nine different steps. You can access your progress in the "Special" section of the search tasks menu. The special search functions work like those of Mew and Celebi, where you perform three search tasks to move to the next set of search tasks until you get the final reward. You can perform multiple special search quests at the same time and actions can count for multiple quest steps.

That said, here's a step-by-step guide on how to complete the Pokemon Go Meltan quest.

Spin 5 PokeStops or Gyms – Reward: 500 XP

Catch 10 Pokemon – Reward: 500 XP

Transfer 5 Pokemon – Reward: 500 XP

Tips for the quest

In addition to the special search, the Pokemon: Let's Go event has also added new field search tasks (click here for the full list). One of them forces you to make a great run and assigns you a ditto. If you have found one of these tasks on a PokeStop, complete it and keep the reward when you unlock the third stage of the Meltan quest so you can perform one of the tasks. If you have found the task for which you need to hatch two eggs, keep the Aerodactyl encounter reward when you reach step eight to catch an Aerodactyl.

Some steps require you to walk with your Buddy Pokemon to win a number of Candy. Walk with a Pokémon like a Magikarp that will reward you with a single candy every kilometer to complete the task faster.

Make sure to keep Candy for Grimer, Magnemite, Drowzee and Scyther, because some tasks require you to make them evolve. If you do not have enough candies, be sure to use Pinap Berries before taking these Pokémon.
