Apple's morning soap opera was one of the first television projects he put on the green, and details of the show were unveiled in November 2017.

Designed for the roles of Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, the series, which has not yet been nominated, is inspired by Brian Stelter's non-fiction book entitled "The morning's top: in the ruthless world of Morning TV". He will explore the dramatic life of men and women who animate the morning televised debates.

Carell will play Mitch Kessler, a morning show presenter who "struggles to retain its relevance in a changing media landscape," the source said. Variety.

Apple has already signed for two seasons of 10 episodes of the series, which is also produced by Aniston and Witherspoon.

Apple has more than a dozen original TV shows in preparation, the first of which could be launched in March 2019 through an alleged video service that Apple plans to launch.

At least some of the content included in the next video service could be free to watch via the Apple TV app.
