Streamer Ninja the target of Reddit Hate after signaling the player for "Top Ping"

Tyler "Ninja" Blevins likes to bring players back into his Fortnite Games. If he feels that a player is "lucky" to take it, he does not hesitate to press the report button and call Epic Games. Earlier this month, Ninja announced that the IcyFive player was a sniper. No evidence was found that the player was watching his stream for an unfair advantage, but that did not stop Ninja from saying such random things online. The amount of negative reactions Ninja had from the community was enormous, but he remained convinced of his belief that IcyFive was shooting.

In response to the incident, Youtuber Chera posted a video on when it was reported by Ninja and his account was subsequently banned. In an October match, Ninja is killed by Chevin in a base battle. Surprised that he could die well, he presses the report button. When Ninja asked him to tell what the report was for, Ninja wrote "to have a higher ping than me". Playing on unstable connections can cause your character to teleport to the screen because the game server takes longer to receive and send information. Having a higher ping can be caused by playing on a server far from your location or by a poor Internet network. According to the terms of use of Epic Games, having a higher ping is not a banable offense.

An excerpt from the video posted by the BooBooClownBoo user is quickly spread around reddit, with a post on the Fortnite under having more than 30,000 positive votes. "Ninja himself should be punished for wrongly reporting half of those reported," wrote a user. "How can one become authoritarian and power hungry on one game," wrote another. Epic_Boomer, an employee of Epic Games, responded to the comments to try to clear up the air. Chera had two Fortnite accounts: one that was reported by Ninja and another that was banned for unrelated reasons. When Chera recovered the account in November, he changed it so that it bears the same name as the account that was banned by Ninja. The original account reported by Ninja has never been banned.

BooBooClownBoo was the original account that published about IcyFive on the FortniteBR subreddit. The user may have seen the YouTube video and thought he could earn more karma, but that's pure speculation.

Hatred Ninja has become a popular trend in recent months. Its subscriber base dropped sharply in the second half of 2018. In May, it pulled out 188,000 subscribers but failed to break 50,000 subscribers in October, according to TwitchTracker. This does not mean that its popularity is starting to decline. He just listened Fallout 76 with Rick and Morty and still appears in Samsung ads appearing everywhere in Twitch.
