Pirated copies of "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate "went live about two weeks before its official launch on December 7th, according to Motherboard.

Although software piracy is a common problem in the video game industry, JJB told Motherboard that a leak so early for a game of this stature was unusual, and they also asked the other administrators of WarezNX to ban the server from lower-level users.
