Support for Philips Hue Siri shortcuts added to the latest version of the application

If you look forward to the assistance promised by Philips Hue Siri Shortcuts in August, you will be delighted to hear that it has just landed.

We are excited to introduce Siri Shortcuts for Hue. Siri now learns when you use your favorite scenes and suggests them for quick activation directly on your lock screen, your Siri search or your Siri watch. You can also record personal phrases to activate your favorite scenes and include them as actions in the Apple Shortcuts app …

This means that you will now be able to use your own phrase choice to activate tint lighting scenes. The app will also proactively suggest the shortcuts you would like to use. The company has given examples of using this feature.

Philips has demonstrated that a "dinner time" shortcut would include setting Hue lights on the "Savannah Sunset" stage, which is a default scene included in the Hue app. Siri Shortcuts will also be able to make suggestions for shade lighting, such as setting the theme "Yoga" or "Relaxation".

One of the main advantages over existing scenes is the integration with other applications.

Thanks to Siri Shortcuts, Hue will also be able to interact with other applications and services. For example, the "dinner time" shortcut can also play music, enable "Do not disturb", and so on.

This feature requires version 2 of the Hue Bridge.

Version 3.6 of the Hue app also offers the ability to customize the ads you receive from Philips regarding new products and features. You will find it in the advanced settings.
