Action RPGs based on Sword Art Online's Japanese Light Novel Series have been released on PCs over the last year. Last October, we had a port of Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization. In February, we had a new game in the series titled Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet. This weekend, the publisher Bandai Namco announced that another game in the series would arrive on PC – Sword Art Online: Lost Song.
It was originally released for PS Vita in 2015 in Japan, before going over West on PS3 later this year. It was the first in the series to make you play as anyone else than the longtime protagonist of Kirito: you have a choice of 19 characters or you can create your own custom hero. You follow a group of friends playing a VR MMORPG (yes, really) called ALfheim Online (ALO), and you try to become the first to eliminate the next ALO extension.
Bandai Namco has not announced any release date or price for the PC port.
Thank you, Gematsu.
