Several reports suggest that iOS 12 could have a bug, causing periodic and random problems with devices not charging when they are plugged into a power source, or placed on a charging block. wireless without user intervention.
On the Apple Discussion Board, 108 users comment on a potential problem with the iPhone XS or the iOS 12. The error occurs when the user connects a Lightning cable to the Charge port using a common wall charger or place on a Qi charging pad.

However, on occasion, users who plug in the phone will not get either the charging symbol or the noise emitted by the device when it starts to charge. Unbox Therapy tested a variety of iPhone XS units in the studio and found that they could repeat the problem. They tested nine separate iPhone XS and XS Max phones and were able to demonstrate the problem multiple times. however, AppleInsider has not yet had the problem to manifest itself with an iPhone XS Max, iPhone X or iPhone 8 Plus running iOS 12 connected to USB-A to Lightning or USB-C to Lightning connected to a computer, to a wall adapter or to another of a variety of Qi charge buffers.
However, a first-generation iPad Pro for iPhone 7 and 12.9-inch manifested the problem once during some tests performed on Saturday night.
The problem may be related to the restricted USB mode, a feature developed by Apple to secure data on the phone against devices that attempt to download data from a phone for repressive or harmful purposes.
