Destiny 2 Forsaken may not have lived up to the expectations of the publisher Activision in terms of sales figures. The director of the game said that Bungie was not disappointed with this expansion and that the studio remained committed to creating more Destiny for players who love their games. .

Responding implicitly to the headlines about Activision's disappointment with Forsaken's sales, Destiny 2 director Luke Smith spoke to Twitter to assure his fans that Forsaken was made for them and that the studio was delighted to the following.

"Building fate for the players who love it is and will remain our priority for the future," Smith said.

A few days after a conference call by Activision shareholders on the company's latest financial report, Forsaken showed that Forsaken had not yet achieved its goals. However, this same report showed that the monthly number of players had increased over the last year and other data indicate that about 60% of Destiny 2 players have purchased the Forsaken extension.

But the numbers are worrisome enough for Activision to offer PC gamers the free Destiny 2 game until Nov. 18 and the Forsaken expansion (which includes the Warmind DLC and Curse of Osiris packs). ) is currently for sale.

Recent leaks suggest that Bungie is already accelerating the development of Destiny 3, with Chris Barrett replacing Smith as director. If this is true, it sets Destiny 2 for at least another full year of support and additional extensions.
