The developer of Pokemon announces a new RPG Switch (and this is not Pokemon) during Nintendo Direct

Nintendo's September Direct was filled with surprise announcements for Switch, from Luigi's Mansion 3 to another new character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. On top of that, Nintendo gave fans their first look at a new RPG Switch from Game Freak, the studio behind the Pokemon series.

Provisionally titled "Town", the game takes place in "a village with a secret to hide". All adventure takes place in this city that has known peace and prosperity until the sudden appearance of monsters. Players will have to fight these invaders by choosing from "a variety of combat commands". They may also seek the help of other villagers in certain situations.

Beyond that, Nintendo has not shared much more details about Town, but the game should be launched for Switch sometime in 2019. Game Freak also has a Pokémon RPG "Basic "on the second half of this year. and before that, the studio comes out Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu and Let's Go, Eevee on November 16th.

Regarding the latter, The Pokemon Company recently shared a trailer featuring new areas and attacks in the game.
