The exclusive PS4 content of Red Dead Redemption 2 revealed

With exactly three weeks before Red Dead Redemption 2Sony has unveiled the exclusive scheduled content that will be available in the game for PlayStation 4 customers – and although it's hard to say from the descriptions, most of them seem like little potatoes.

When Rockstar games are unveiled Red Dead Redemption 2 Since October 2016, the publisher and Sony have announced the creation of a marketing partnership through which PS4 players would have "the first access to selected online content" in the game. has so far provided details on the exclusives, although Sony has announced another element of the co-marketing agreement in September: a Red Dead Redemption 2 PS4 Pro Pack.

According to the original wording of Sony and Rockstar, most people probably expected exclusive content to be limited to the online component of the game, called Red Dead Online. In the end, there is not just the "online content chosen" among the exclusive.

A total of four elements will be exclusive to PS4 players in Red Dead Redemption 2, at least for some time. The Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit, consisting of a long wool-lined coat and leather vest, will be available in both the Story Mode of Play on Launch Day and in Red Dead Online during its debut in November.

The other three items are the Red Chestnut Arabian Horse, the Alligator Skin Ranch Saddle and the High Roller Double Action Revolver. They will not be available until Red Dead Online is released, although it is unclear whether players will be able to use them outside of the online component of the game. It looks like they will bring useful benefits. The courier is better than most wild horses roaming the world. The saddle is an "improved version" of the one with which everyone starts with Red Dead Online. And the pistol is the fastest revolver of the game.

These three elements will be exclusively reserved for PS4 players during the first 30 days of the release of Red Dead Online, after which they will be available on Xbox One. It is unclear whether the Outlaw Outfit Outlaw is subject to the same time-limited exclusivity window or whether it is a permanent exclusivity for the PS4. And we do not know how players will get any of these items in the game. We asked Rockstar for clarification and we will update this article with the information we receive.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26 on PS4 and Xbox One, and Red Dead Online is expected to be released in November in public beta.
