The first compatible Samsung smartphone Snapdragon 710 will arrive in January

Although Samsung has a tendency to hesitate to use competing chips, it has recently equipped the Galaxy A9 with a quad camera with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660. And according to an industry source, the company has another trigger powered by Snapdragon.

Specifically, the model in question will be optimized by Qualcomm's mid-range Snapdragon 710. This means that consumers should expect prices to be lower than Samsung's flagship offerings but above the recently announced Galaxy A9 (2018). Given this positioning, the South Korean giant could potentially market the device under the name Galaxy A10. This name would be rather appropriate considering the future Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 devices. Alternatively, it could be marketed as the Galaxy AX in a blink of an eye to Apple's iPhone X series.

For the moment, we do not know what the smartphone will bring to the table. Although a glass and aluminum construction next to an Infinity screen seems rather likely. High quality cameras will probably be included as well. Unfortunately, storage, RAM and battery details still need to be provided.

Consumers should expect this smartphone to be available for purchase from early January, which means that an ad in late December is extremely likely. If this is indeed the case, Samsung may launch the device alongside an updated Galaxy A8.
