Tamagotchi inspiration Pokémon Devices have existed for some time, but a new collaboration between The Pokémon Company and Tamagotchi is to bring a pocket monster into people's real pockets.

Tamagotchi and The Pokémon Company are teaming up for the first official Tamagotchi Pokémon, which will allow homeowners to take care of their own Eevee. In addition, each Eevee can potentially become one of eight adorable pokemon creatures: Espeon, Umbreon, Sylveon, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Leafeon and Glaceon.

The Tamagotchi Nano will be marketed in Japan in January 2019, according to a Japanese website. There is no North American release date yet. Rumor has it that Tamagotchi was reported earlier this month after the release of the information, but that has not been confirmed today.

This is the first official collaboration between Tamagotchi and Pokémon, but this is not the first time The Pokémon Company has explored a physical digital pet for gamers. The Pocket Pikachu, inspired by the incredible success of Tamagotchi, was released in 1998. It allowed Pokémon fans to carry a tiny Pikachu in their pocket. Then, in 2010, the Pokémon company launched the PokéWalker, which was essentially a pedometer displaying a tiny Pikachu.

The Eevee Tamagotchi is available in a suitable brown and pink hard shell, and will cost around $ 20.
