All in all, I must say that I did not see it happen.
It's been weeks since I've been the saga of Fortnite's Mystery Cube, as it runs through all the cards of runes and anti-gravity fields, but now it's the wackiest thing.
While everyone predicted that the final destination of the cube would probably be Loot Lake through datamining, I do not think anyone predicts what just happened.
After crossing Tilted Towers this morning, destroying the new building he built all season, the Cube was sitting on the edge of the wharf west of Loot Lake and exactly at 4 ET … it plunged.
In fact, cubes and water do not mix. Trying to contain my laughter, I saw the Cube dissolve before my eyes in the lake, as if it were a block of melting butter. The end result is that the Cube is not really dead, but that it has rather changed shape in the entire lake.
Here's the progression of how it went:
And now, as you can see, the entire lake is bright and purple. And guess what else? It's now bouncing, just like the cube. What was most painful to do in the game is now the easiest. You can actually jump from where I am on this screenshot and not suffer a fall damage.
Is this the end of the Cube saga? I have no idea, but probably not. There was a rumor that the Cube was going to turn the lake into lava, but it seems to have been a password for … anything. Jello cube? Of course, Cube Jello.
Here is a video:
Where the story of the cube begins, I'm not sure. I guess this could be the end and we may have a very inflatable lake for all season six, but there is almost a week until season six, I would be surprised if that is everything that has happened. t see this area even more transformed.
But while everyone seemed to know where the Cube was heading, otherwise what would happen, I do not think anyone has a real idea of what will follow. Last season, there were theories about what the rocket would do, go into space, hit Tilted Towers, but none of these came out and Epic did something crazy with all the flaws. Here we now have a giant interdimensional cube that has bounced a lake. Only in Fortnite, people.
I'm a little surprised that Epic has not convinced people to watch the Cube dissolve live because it was really hilarious to see it, but maybe there's will have another event not to be missed. . Keep your eyes on Loot Lake for what comes next.
Or should I say Cube Lake.
