The Galaxy A8s display panel hints at the future

Many have pointed out, in reviews and praise, that Samsung stubbornly refused to take the bandwagon. For better or for worse, it could make that jump now. Not only that, he could make jumps with not one but three possible notch designs. His first could land on the Galaxy A8, if we believe this new leak. But while this phone could be confined to China, its design and technology could spread further.

Samsung has asked for two marks related to Infinity and the letters that accompany this name could actually refer to the type of notch the screen will have. Infinity-U, for example, could refer to a "water drop" notch that is becoming a popular compromise lately. Infinity-V and Infinity-O, on the other hand, are cut-outs that remain to be seen.

We'll see maybe the latter, in the Galaxy A8 which Samsung had already teased the existence a few weeks ago. This teaser did not show a frame at the top and, of course, the Web was fascinated by the way Samsung planned to implement it without sacrificing the front camera. And according to some hypotheses, it will be through an Infinity-O panel.

The Chinese IT Home site has gotten hold of pictures of what it claims to be panels for the aforementioned Galaxy A8. These clearly show a circular dead center at the top for the front camera. Of course, such a cutout has no room for an ambient light sensor, but Samsung seems to try different methods of implementing automatic brightness without solution.

The Galaxy A8 is believed to be the precursor of the Galaxy S10's front camera. Let's hope he will not have such a cutout, though. This is not really a problem for a mid-range phone, but it could make the flagship product the flagship of 2019.
