Today, many specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A9 have been unveiled, revealing a vision of the Galaxy S10. The Galaxy strategy for the years 2019 and later is one of feature diffusion. As suggested by Samsung earlier this year, their new way of thinking is to first integrate high-end features into mid-range phones and then perfect them in their flagship smartphones shortly thereafter.
The great super-functionality of the Samsung Galaxy A9 is the inclusion of four cameras in the back. These cameras were detailed in a leak of information shared with AllAboutSamsung this week. Each camera has its own capabilities and the four cameras can work in concert to create stunning, high-level photos and videos, says the source of the leak.
There are four individual lenses and image processors. These cameras are aligned along the top left corner of the phone. At the end of this row, a light flashes.
• Camera 1: 24 megapixels, optical image stabilization, f1.7 aperture
• Camera 2: 5 megapixel, depth sensor for live focus, aperture f2.2
• Camera 3: 8-megapixel wide angle lens, 120 degrees, aperture f2.4
• Camera 4: 10 megapixels, 2x optical zoom, f2.4 aperture
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 also has a 2x optical zoom. These are clearly not the same cameras provided with the Galaxy Note 9, as the Galaxy Note 9 has 2 cameras of 12 MP while the above devices measure 24, 10, 8 and 5 MP. It would be shocking to see that Samsung did not use a Samsung or Sony image processor under the hood.
To be perfectly clear, here we do not expect all versions of the Galaxy S10 to be equipped with these four cameras. If this is the case, the most expensive versions of the device will be equipped with the complete package. The least important of the Galaxy S10 devices will probably be equipped with a single camera (or maybe twice as much) to minimize the costs of the phone.
