This week, Samsung and Google have broken down the components of the next trend "foldable" in smartphones, starting with the next Galaxy. Collapsible Samsung

The device was introduced at the Samsung developer conference this week, but it was masked by a demonstration case.

Specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Foldable Device:
• Cover display: 4.58 inches, 21: 9 format, HD + (840 x 1960 pixels, 420 DPI, the smallest screen width: 320 frames per second, "screen size: normal"
• Main display: 7.3 inches, 4.2: 3, QXGA + image size (1536 x 2152 pixels, 420 DPI, the smallest 585dp screen width, "screen size: large"

• Special abilities: Folding screen, support for multiple apps running simultaneously in one window (called Samsung's Multi Active Window)

Multiple display
This first foldable smartphone has two screens. A screen is on the outside, functional while the device is folded. Another screen is collapsible and only works when the device is fully open and the screen is unfolded. The names chosen by Google and Samsung for these two separate screens are as follows.
• Cover display: Functional when the main screen is folded and the device is in its most compact form, basically works like a traditional phone
• Main display: Functional when the phone is fully unfolded, the screen is flexible, larger than the cover screen, works with multiple windows
Each application operating in "folded mode" operates in "unfolded mode". Google informs developers this week that every application that works in folded mode must instantly and smoothly move from folded mode to unfolded mode.
Multi window
Once the unit is open on its largest foldable display, you will get additional separation of functions. They call it Multi-Window, the Multi Active Window brand. This feature is similar to the one we have on many other Android devices today – only separated beyond 2 units.
As shared by Park this week, the expanded main screen can display up to 3 multiple windows at a time. The main screen can be used in multiple window mode or in full window mode – 1, 2 or 3 applications at a time.
Traditional use
Once folded, the device's cover view is active. "In this mode, the experience is very similar to the daily use of your smartphone," Park said. "But compared to the main display, the experience is more focused and more convenient: for quick interactions and to really tap the small screen."

Park made it clear that even if it was folded, "the phone is still fully functional, like a normal smartphone".
