Forget the iPhone XS and the XR for a second, while other rumors regarding Samsung's next best thing are on the web. The South Korean giant is already working on three devices expected to compete with the three new iPhones Apple. Samsung will be celebrating next year's Galaxy S phones, and the Galaxy S10 series should offer a lot of cool features compared to the Galaxy S9 lineup.
A report from the Korean news site ETNews says the best version of the Samsung Galaxy S10 will include five cameras, three at the back and two at the front. Other models should have single lens camcorders and dual and triple lens cameras at the back.
Samsung would not be the first company to sell smartphones with so many cameras at the back. Huawei has already launched such a phone this year and is preparing to launch a second one next month. The Mate 20 Pro is expected to deliver Galaxy S10 quality specifications this year and could become the iPhone XS 'main competitor until the arrival of the flagship Android 2019 products.
But ETNews says Samsung will have more trouble securing the supply of modules in its Galaxy S10 range, given the number of additional modules it needs for each device, and seeks to diversify its suppliers.
A report from Techno Buffalo revealed a few days ago that a reliable source shared details about the Samsung Galaxy S10 plans. The company manufactures three models, with screens including respectively 5.8 inches, 6.1 inches and 6.4 inches – the small model addressing budget-conscious buyers.
While we still need more details on this Galaxy S10 cheap, but it seems that the phone will not compete with the iPhone XR. Apple's new "cheap" iPhone is just as powerful as the iPhone's XS models, and Apple has relied on a significantly improved single-lens camera experience for the iPhone XR. Apple should not add a third lens to its high-end phones.
According to Techno Buffalo, eleven Galaxy S10 phones should be equipped with a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens (78-degree field of view) and a 16-megapixel super-wide-angle lens (123-degree field of view). The Galaxy S10 + will ship an additional 13 megapixel telephoto lens (45 degree field of view). The telephoto and wide-angle lenses will also feature optical image stabilization and all three phones will have dual-aperture cameras.
The report also notes that Samsung is testing indeed fingerprint sensors in display for the Galaxy S10, but that the technology will not be among the flagship products of next year. Many reports indicate that the Galaxy S10 would be the first Samsung phone to use this technology. The source acknowledged that things are still moving and that things could change until next year, when Samsung unveil the phones.
