What's better than a cool Lego Overwatch figurine? How about a giant overwatch statue of Lego?

To celebrate the official announcement of Friday new Lego Overwatch sets, the Lego group released a time-lapse video of the DoVa Lego model (2.7 meters) under construction.

The video shows how the giant Lego Overwatch model was manufactured, from its computer-based design to the tedious process of its brick-by-brick construction by the Lego Retail model production team.

The large model depicting D.Va as a Lego figurine includes 145,276 Lego pieces, including 43,853 pink bricks for his pink exoskeleton costume.

The D.Va Lego model and its mech weigh 570 kilograms. It took 731 hours to build by hand, with the largest finished parts assembled by crane.

Participants at Blizzard's BlizzCon annual convention at the Anaheim Convention Center can view the model in large scale in person.
