The Gmail iOS app receives a unified inbox – TechCrunch

Gmail users on iOS now benefit from a noticeable upgrade: a unified inbox. While Android users had the ability to see multiple inboxes in a single view, IOSO users – so far – had to switch accounts by selecting them in the app's navigation.

Nowadays, many people have multiple email accounts, often using one for work, another for personal use and another for publicizing – their "junk e-mail" inbox, so to speak. Some have multiple inboxes for multiple tasks or roles. And some access a shared inbox with other members of a work team.

However, if you have used Gmail on iOS, you need a little tapping.

With the current iOS update, you can use the new "All Inboxes" view in the left drawer. This will show all your emails in one list, says Google.

The option works with G Suite accounts and non-G Suite accounts, including third-party IMAP accounts, the company says.

While a unified inbox is a seemingly minor feature, this is the kind of thing that caused many Gmail iOS users to use third-party apps because Gmail itself was missing. This can now change.

This feature will be deployed in the next 15 days for Gmail and G Suite users.
