The Google home page encourages visitors to "vote"

Google has taken the rare step of changing the logo on its homepage to encourage US users to go to the polls that election day.

While users typically see a "Google" logo in the colors of the company's signature, Tuesday's language is "Go Vote".

By clicking on the "Vote" message, you will access a page where users can locate the nearest polling station, as well as links to other sites containing voting information.

"At Google, our mission is to make global information accessible and useful, and we hope these features will help you participate in this election," said Google Product Manager Jason Wheeler.

The search engine usually does not change its homepage so dramatically. The so-called Google Doodles, which colorful celebrate important dates and historical characters, tend to integrate rather than replace the usual Google design. But it seems that the mid-term reviews were considered important enough to justify a break with this tradition.
