the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL maybe not the only things Google has in store for his Event of October 9th.
There has been leakage of a new Chrome OS device, which would be a new Google Pixelbook. The mysterious device can be seen in the video below, which was released by Chrome Unboxed.
If you look closely at the video, you will notice that the camera frames are much thinner than the original Pixelbook frames. You can also see that the video shows circular keys, which are different from the squares of the Pixelbook.
The Google Pixelbook was released in 2017 and offered Google's premium support on a Chrome OS device that is partially compatible with a laptop.
The new leak of Pixelbook suggests that Google publishes soon an updated Pixelbook 2, probably from the next event of October 9th.
By adding more weight to this, Chrome Unboxed has also come across new Pixelbook ads that seem to show a state-of-the-art Pixelbook 2 instead of the current version.
Compare that to the current Pixelbook and you will see the difference.
Other commercials on Pixelbook have been spotted on Facebook, again showing a pixelbook with much finer dials. Maybe Google is only changing the ads to make it look like the original Pixelbook is thinner, or maybe they are showing a new device.
It should be noted that Facebook ads display a book with square keys. This corresponds to the original Pixelbook, but not to the device that fled in the video above, which has round keys.
There was previous rumors of a next Chrome OS tablet after locating Google code referencing Brydge keyboard support.
Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
