11/10/18: OnePlus provided additional information on the integrated fingerprint sensor that is expected to debut on the OnePlus 6T, confirming that it will be optical rather than ultrasonically. The company confirmed the detail in a message on Weibo, spotted by GSMArena, which notes that the decision might not be good for consumers. The website, which has used optical sensors like the Vivo Nex S, notes that scanners can often be slow and unreliable, while ultrasonic sensors are both faster and more accurate.
04/10/18: Tickets went on sale for the launch of the OnePlus 6T at Pier 36 in New York. A secondary event will be held in India. OnePlus confirmed that the device would not be on sale at the event, but we would have the opportunity to see and play with, in addition to getting a release date and a price.
03/10/18: OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed that the OnePlus 6T would be more expensive than its predecessor, and that the built-in fingerprint scanner on phones is to blame. Talk to CNETLau revealed that the technology, officially known as Screen Unlock, would increase the overall cost of the phone. It did not reveal the exact price of the OnePlus 6T, but rumors claim that it would cost around £ 20 more than the OnePlus 6.
Lau also had other bad news, confirming that the 6T will not feature a wireless charge. He said: "When we get to the day when wireless charging can be implemented without the expected implied heat, I think we can integrate the technology."
02/10/18: Official images (below) of the OnePlus 6T surfaced online, confirming the tiny teardrop-shaped notch of the smartphone and its glossy, matte black color options. published by WinFuturethe high-resolution images also give us a good look at the 6T's dual camera sensor, disproving early rumors that it would offer a triple camera configuration that rivaled the P20 Pro.
01/10/18: OnePlus released another official teaser (below) for its incoming OnePlus 6T, thereby confirming the integrated fingerprint scanner in the handset and its edge-to-edge display. 09/27/18: A new mega-leak OnePlus 6T, courtesy of @OnLeaks, shows the handset entering from all angles.
Pictures (above) and a 360-degree video (below) shared with MySmartPrice confirm the OnePlus 6T's Oppo-esque water drop notch, which rests on its 6.4-inch optical AMOLED display, offering a resolution of 1080×2340 and a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. 16MP + 20MP dual camera configuration stacked vertically from the smartphone, the absence of 3.5mm headphone jack and, in the absence of physical sensor, the built-in fingerprint scanner on the screen are also confirmed.
The leak, which is the largest we've seen so far, also claims that the phone will be 8.2mm thick (slightly thicker than the OnePlus 6) and will ship a Snapdragon 845 processor at 2, 8 GHz, an Adreno GPU 630 and 6 GB or more. 8 GB of RAM coupled with 64 GB and 128 GB of storage, respectively.
09/25/18: There is not much we do not know already about the OnePlus 6T thanks to the not so subtle tips of the Chinese phone manufacturer. However, thanks to a new leak on Weibo, we can finally see what the handset looks like.
Images posted on the Chinese social network (below) claim to show the OnePlus 6T in all its splendor, with a drop-shaped notch similar to that of the Oppo R17 and an integrated fingerprint sensor.
However, before you get too excited, nothing blocks the back of the smartphone, nor any sign of a OnePlus brand beyond its "Never Settle" screen background. And as spotted by Gizmodo, there is a hole for what appears to be a headphone jack on the bottom right – despite OnePlus' confirmation that the device would be the first to give up the 3.5mm port.
09/20/18: An official teaser video of the OnePlus 6T highlighted the built-in fingerprint scanner of the incoming flagship product.
The video (below), whose star actor Amitabh Bachchan, India's brand ambassador, refers to the sensor built into the phone's display, which OnePlus has confirmed would arrive on the 6T earlier this month -this.
"We unlock our phones several times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to carry out the action," said a Oneplus staff member with cowardly lips.
"By adding this feature to other screen unlocking options, such as unlocking faces, users will have the option to unlock the screen in the most efficient way for them."
The clip also corrects the assumption that the OnePlus 6T will follow in the footsteps of Samsung's all-new Samsung Galaxy A7 with a triple-lens rear camera configuration, instead of showing the two rear cameras of the handset.
The 15-second teaser does not confirm much, but we already know that the OnePlus 6T will have internal components of Snapdragon 845, a larger battery than its predecessor OnePlus 6 and, uh, no headphone jack.
09/13/18: OnePlus confirmed OnePlus 6T will be its first smartphone to abandon the headphone jack.
In an interview with TechRadarCarl Pei, founder of OnePlus, revealed that the "Next OnePlus Handset" will remove the 3.5mm jack for USB-C.
He added that the "controversial" decision was motivated by the fact that nearly 60% of current OnePlus owners already owned wireless headphones.
"We found that 59% of our community members already had wireless headsets earlier this year – and that was before the launch of our Bullets Wireless headsets," he said.
And Pei says that by removing the jack, the company releases more space to incorporate "more new technologies" into the product, noting that the 6T will offer a bigger battery than its predecessor OnePlus 6 This is also probably a nod to the 6T's integrated fingerprint sensor, which OnePlus confirmed earlier this month.
"He [removing the headphone jack] was a very controversial decision. We do not do it for the sake of it and because everyone does it. We think the time has come because it will benefit the majority of our users while limiting the inconvenience. "
Fortunately, Pei has confirmed that OnePlus will have a suitable 3.5mm to USB-C adapter. And since then, the company has hinted that it would be launching new Type-C Bullet earphones alongside the OnePlus 6T, priced at £ 15.99 in the UK.
09/12/18: A questionable site has listed the OnePlus 6T in pre-order before its unveiling of the rumor of October.
GizTop, a Chinese e-commerce website linked to the blog GizmoChina, announces the launch of the next-generation OnePlus flagship product with a price of $ 569 (around £ 440) and says the 6T will be available from October 16th.
It also gives us a complete overview of the handset specifications. Therefore, if the list is accurate, it is unlikely that OnePlus will have many surprises.
The handset will feature a 6.440-inch 2340×1080 AMOLED display with a 91.6% screen-to-body ratio, according to GizTop, which will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with an Adreno 630 graphics processor.
The OnePlus 6T will also feature three rear cameras (20MP, 12MP and TOF 3D), a 25MP front camera, 6GB and 8GB RAM, 64GB / 128GB / 256GB storage, the Android operating system 9.0 Pie from Google and a "fingerprint sensitive to light". sensor under the screen ".
Of course, we advise you to take this leak with a pinch of salt.
09/11/18: OnePlus confirmed that its incoming OnePlus 6T would be the first to offer an integrated fingerprint sensor.
Talk to CNET, The company said its implementation of the technology – currently featured on models such as the Vivo Nex and the Huawei Mate RS from Porsche Design – will be dubbed "Screen Unlock".
"We unlock our phones several times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to carry out the action," said a OnePlus staff member at the website, noting that the technology was due to The original debut on the OnePlus 5T.
"By adding this feature to other screen unlocking options, such as unlocking faces, users will have the option to unlock the screen in the most efficient way for them."
In order to adapt to the new technology, the design of the OnePlus 6T will be "slightly modified" compared to its predecessor, the incoming flagship product having to be slightly thicker with reorganized internal elements.
09/05/18: Far from your cynic INQ to believe everything we see in a blurry screen capture but it's a little exciting.
The OnePlus 6T is far from a gradual change, as the 5T seems to flank a whole new set of features that may upset those who took advantage of the OnePlus 6 just a few months ago.
An image of the presumed packaging of the next device, expected next month, suggests that the 6T will feature a fingerprint sensor, as well as a "teardrop-shaped" notch of water "designed to occupy the least possible of the screen.
The photo, which appeared on Weibo, does not show a photo, which immediately rings the alarm, but is complex enough to suggest that if it's a fake, it's a good red .
After moving the fingerprint reader back and forth during the last iterations, it was not only very interesting for OnePlus, but also for the mobile industry as a whole, after the Galaxy Note 9 and the next iPhone XS. line-up both seem ready to not engage in the technology that has been promised seemingly forever.
We tend to take such revelations with a pinch of old calcium carbonate, but since this Weibo user has already done a good job, we're going to get away with it and say it's real. May be. Perhaps. Ish.
Among other specifications, we can expect to include Android 9.0 Pie in the form of its Oxygen OS variant,
Although officially 6T does not exist yet, we are actually expecting it a month earlier, in October this time. The date of January 15 mentioned in the display is mysterious.
It may be that for the first time this service is exclusive to the carrier at the beginning. Previously, O2 had non-exclusive rights in the United Kingdom, but there are rumors that T-Mobile would have seized them for the United States, which could be exclusive. More news as soon as we have them. μ
08/20/18: The OnePlus 6T is expected to be launched in October this year as the company's first smartphone to be offered via an American network.
Said so CNET, which quotes people familiar with the launch plans, said the next flagship product of the Chinese firm "T" will be offered via the T-Mobile network in the United States.
T-Mobile would be the exclusive launcher for OnePlus in the US, selling the phone through its retail stores and website, CNET reports, while OnePlus will always sell an unlocked version of the 6T via its own site.
OnePlus has signed an agreement in principle with the US carrier, which provides for the publication by the firm of a "specific version of the OnePlus 6T optimized for the T-Mobile network", which will include support for LTE technology Extended Range of the operator.
The only problem could be obtaining the "technical approval" required for use on the network, according to CNETsources, which could cause a delay with the launch of the operator.
Nevertheless, if the rumors are true, it will be a major deal for OnePlus, which still has to make a good reputation in the United States because of lack of carrier support. A partnership with T-Mobile would ensure greater visibility of its product beyond the direct sales already offered by its own retail channels.
The report does not tell us much more about the OnePlus 6T, but he notes that the handset will cost the same price as its predecessor OnePlus 6. This means that you will probably be able to choose a 64GB model for £ 419, with variants of 128GB and 256GB for £ 519 and £ 569, respectively.
While CNET rumors suggest that the OnePlus 6T will be the first smartphone to integrate Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 processor, while others have claimed that it could be endowed with an all-screen design, with a selfie camera like the Vivo Nex. μ
