The interest of the iPhone XS is lower than expected since the demand for Apple Watch S4 soars – BGR

Not even a week after Apple's special event, Ming-Chi Kuo has already come out with a new investor rating (via MacRumors) detailing how pre-orders for newly unveiled Apple devices are piling up. With the iPhone, Kuo relays that the demand for the iPhone XS has been somewhat dull up to now. Of little concern, Kuo explains that most consumers opt for the iPhone XS Max or the iPhone XR, much more affordable. In addition, the demand for the iPhone XS Max would be consistent with internal projections of Apple.

In the blink of an eye, it's a pity that the iPhone XR is not launched until October, because this device offers most of the features of the iPhone XS at a much more affordable price. For what it's worth, the launch of XR has been delayed by rumors that Apple has recently managed to fix production issues related to the device's LCD. That said, we hope that the offer will no longer be a problem when the device will be available in a few weeks.

Kuo's note reads in part as follows:

Chinese demand is strong thanks to the gold case, the dual SIM card and the big screen. The average delivery time of XS Max is shorter than that of the iPhone 2H17 (1 to 2 weeks vs 2 to 3 weeks), which, in our opinion, is due to improvements in the supply. We maintain our forecast that the XS Max will account for 25 to 30% of deliveries of new models 2H18 on iPhone.

In total, Kuo estimates that Apple's iPhone XR will account for more than 60% of Apple's iPhone sales. In other words, the iPhone XS could very well be the least popular iPhone model this year.

Beyond the iPhone, the new Apple Watch Series 4 seems to be a hit with consumers. This should not be a surprise given that a) interest in Apple Watch has grown steadily each year and that b) the Apple Watch Series 4 represents the most important redesign of the phone since the launch of the device. years ago.

In fact, the Apple Watch Series 4 is so convincing that I'm a little surprised. It can be said that the updated notebook – which has a much larger screen, much faster internal components, ECG support and more – is such an improvement as previous models that it could have legitimately unveiled thanks
