The iPad Pro 2018 always comes with these features

Apple's iPhone XS event last month was just about all we expected except for one thing. Well, two if you count the MIA AirPower wireless charging pad still in place. The new iPads expected were nowhere visible, disappointing some fans of the largest iOS device. Do not panic, however, Apple this month would have an event dedicated to its professional slates. This could be the biggest change that the iPad Pro range has seen since the very first iPad Pro.

And not only because of the removal of the main button with Touch ID, but it is a decisive factor. The iPad Pro 2018 will use the Face ID but, hopefully, the one that can be used in almost all directions, except the upside down. If it's purely a software trick, hopefully, this feature will also be available on iPhones.

The new iPad Pro will be the first iOS devices to use USB-C, apparently sounding the death knell of Apple's Lightning connector. It will support 4K HDR external displays and will include a new section in the settings to control brightness, HDR, resolution, etc.

The new Apple pencil for the new iPad Pro will also evolve. It would look like with the iPad Pro using proximity rather than having to plug it into the charging port. Although it is not yet known if the original Apple Pencil will work on the new iPad Pro, it is possible that the new USB-C port is a problem.

The sources of 9to5Mac indicate that there will be a total of 8 new versions of iPad Pro. The 12.9 and 10.5-inch models will each have two Wi-Fi and LTE variants. The 2018 iPad Pro will also have a new magnetic connector for keyboards and accessories, but it remains to be seen if the accessory makers will finally jump on that, unlike the existing smart connector.
