The iPad Pro 2018 leaks entirely – without notch, small outlines, headphone jack

Rumors of a new iPad pro with extremely thin glasses and a Face ID have been floating for a while now. In June, we tried to imagine what an "unglazed" iPad might look like – with or without a notch – and we explained why the no-notch design with slightly thicker glasses would make more sense for a tablet. A few months later, we now have in our hands what could be the first legitimate leak of the 2018 Pro iPad and it looks remarkably like what we had envisioned earlier in the year.

A handful of recently disclosed images present a supposed 3D CAD model of a new iPad Pro. One of the photos even reveals the thickness of the device, which measures only 5.86 mm. Now it's thin.

In addition to CAD models, we also have some full versions of the iPad Pro 2018, coming from Benks screen protector manufacturer. The renderings show the new iPad from the front, in all its splendor. We do not yet know if these images represent 100% reality, but they are the closest we have had to date and correspond to everything we have heard so far and to which we are concerned. wait for the new iPad Pro.

No face identification?

Another interesting detail that these images potentially reveal is the omission of Face ID on the iPad Pro. This is speculation, but if Benks leakage screen protector is the reality, it has a single aperture above the screen for a single front camera. This could potentially mean that Face ID will not be delivered to the 2018 Pro iPad after all, because Apple's TrueDepth 3D face scanning system requires a second infrared camera and other sensors to work. .

There is a headphone jack

Apple may have interrupted the headphone jack of the iPhone. All models of iPad are still equipped with the much appreciated 3.5mm jack, including the model 9.7 2018. If the new leak is an indication, the iPad Pro 2018 can also be used. to have. The take is clearly visible in one of the renderings disclosed by Benks, though it's hard to know if it exists on CAD models, because of the relatively low quality of some photos.
