Smash Fandom, you went too far.
Man, if you thought Metal gear the fans were crazy, you've never met Super Smash Bros. the fans, who will literally decompose a single pixel from every possible angle to try to analyze the hidden meanings that can be hidden there.
In the aftermath of the game's most recent alleged leak, which apparently would have revealed the existence of no less than Seven unannounced characters for the massive crossover fighter we now have smash fans are trying to analyze obsessively another source to infer the existence of a non-advertised character – except this time, the source in question is Nintendo themselves.
Nintendo and Wendy's American fast food chain are in the process of Smash College Tour cross-country promotional concert, and a new video posted by Nintendo on this subject apparently showed an object corresponding to a character that has not yet been announced for the game. The timestamp is 0:27, when Ness and Captain Falcon fight. In the right corner you can see a new element that does not seem to match an existing known element.
The fans concluded, in their infinite madness, that this element is growth, the fate of the synergy of the Golden sun series. Starting from there, they realized that this can only mean that Isaac of this series will be in the game (no matter how many franchises get articles or steps in smash without having a character in it). Since Isaac was one of the characters who fled in the other leak mentioned earlier, this resulted in a kind of … feeder frenzy between them.
Maybe it's real. Or maybe it's just a confirmation bias, and people see what they want to see. I let you decide. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches for Nintendo Switch on December 7th.
