LG plans to announce its latest flagship phone – the V40 ThinQ – on Oct. 3, but the latest images leaked Evan Blass always reliable, give us the best look on the phone yet to come (via 9to5Google).
The image gives us a good look at the next device, which aims to make smartphone history one of the first phones to offer a total of five camera sensors: a dual lens camera at the front associated on the Huawei P20 Pro) at the back.
Just like last year's V30 (which looked like a bigger G6), the V40 ThinQ looks a lot like the G7 ThinQ, which was launched earlier this year. As seen in the Blass image, the V40 ThinQ will also feature a notched screen that is largely hidden by a blackened status bar and a chin at the bottom.
LG will offer a Snapdragon 845 processor, a Quad DAC, a dedicated Google Assistant button on the side and a fingerprint scanner on the back. The biggest differences from the G7 seem to be the larger 6.3-inch screen and the three-camera sensor mentioned above at the back.
Of course, as impressive as its five-camera phone, LG's time as the (digital) king of the camera could be short-lived: if the images broadcast from a Nokia phone with five cameras on the back the phone turns out to be real, we could quickly look at a phone of six or even seven cameras.
