The Microsoft X018 was not the most exciting show, but it gave a great pace for the future

Yesterday, Microsoft hosted its special Inside Xbox from Mexico City with several announcements regarding new extensions, game versions, additions and Game Pass acquisitions. The day was busy, although the stage did not overwhelm everyone.

Some people were shaken by the "talking" segments that were part of the special; others felt that the live crowd had somehow overwhelmed the revelations. But there is no doubt that Microsoft innovated with the series and caught us off guard with a revelation or two. You can catch the highlight below.

On top of that, however, he did something much more important: he set the standard for what he planned for the future, both in the months and years to come. Let's take a look at the most fundamental points of the special and what it means in the future:

Drag 1 of 4Major acquisitions in the studio
Xbox 2

The biggest news of X018 probably took place at the end of the show, revealing that two new studios joined the internal group of Microsoft. The big one is Obsidian Entertainment, the maker of Pillars of Eternity and South Park: The Stick of Truth and Fallout: New Vegas, among other games. Their role-playing repertoire will undoubtedly play an important role in the company's plans for the future. Could we see With torches return? Something new? The possibilities are wide open.

Not to mention Inxile entertainment. The team behind the Wasteland The series could also help Microsoft's future projects, whether it's an existing franchise or something new. They do a good job on their own, and pairing with other Xbox talent could be huge long-term.

Link these studios to Ninja Theory, Compulsion Studios and other internal teams, and Microsoft builds a flawless talent for what is planned, with Xbox One hardware and beyond. They have a lethal hand here – and we can not wait to see them play.

Drag 2 of 4Crackdown 3 has finally arrived
Xbox 3

There was a moment when Crackdown 3 had become a joke running. The game was originally due out at that time last year before being set aside for what seemed like an eternity, leaving Microsoft in a curious position for its rush.

But the joke is over because the game finally In addition, a new Demolition Zone mode has been unveiled, revealing unprecedented competition and destruction that, to tell the truth, seems very entertaining.

And of course, you got Terry Crews back for the ad campaign. And how. I mean, I'm not sure if it's even possible to put it in a gym bag, but it's pretty hilarious to see him out. Check out the hilarious advertisement below.

Some skeptics think the game could be delayed again before the end of development, but we doubt it. Microsoft is fully engaged to start 2019 on the right foot; and Crackdown 3 could be the key.

In addition to this, you can play the original Repression free. I can not beat that.

Drag 3 of 4Build a better game
Xbox 4

A huge part of Microsoft's service that garnered a lot of attention yesterday was the Xbox Game Pass. And why not? This is clearly one of its most popular features: $ 10 and over 100 games on demand, including new releases.

So not only Crackdown 3 confirmed for the service, but a few others were also Battlefields of PlayerUnknown (a large a), Mayhem Agents, Hellblade: Senua's sacrifice (excited for this one), both Or I games, the new independent game Bastards of the Void and a handful of others. A good variety and the combination with the service already offered make it a sensational value. Not to mention that you get the first month of service for $ 1 – not bad at all.

There was no mention of the revealed PC Game Pass, but Microsoft may have ended its range of Windows games before we see it. For the moment, however, the Xbox Game Pass is steaming, and nothing seems to stop it anytime soon.

Drag 4 of 4And the rest
Xbox 5

The rest of X018 was mixed, but still a good show overall, especially with the Devil can cry 5 showcase; the introduction of Forza Horizon 4The new expansion pack; new Kingdom Hearts III trailer (with Winnie the Pooh!); and, of course, the return of "Crazy" Larry Hryb and Black Friday offers. Overall, it was a decent show, if not the best.

But the point here was that Microsoft continues to establish itself as a player in the gaming market – and that was its mission to the letter. We may not see all of its results right away – some will not even come until 2020 – but we will definitely go somewhere, and that's probably the company's goal from the beginning.

In addition, should we repeat that Crackdown 3 finally come? Because really.
