Motorola introduced the Moto E5 in the United States after launching two phone variants – the E5 Plus and the E5 Play – earlier this year. The E5 is the cheapest of the three models, but it looks really the most modern from the outside. It features an 18: 9 screen with slightly cut-out front bezel, a relatively thin profile and a fingerprint sensor on the back. It sells for only $ 100 and you do not always check all these boxes at this low price.
Of course, as a $ 100 phone, there are compromises on specifications. You get a 5.7-inch big screen, but with a resolution close to 720p – low for this big size. It does not have a water-repellent coating, like the other E5 models, and does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks, which means it must be left out of some routers and points of view. 39; access.
But if these compromises suit you, the specifications below correspond to what you should see in a $ 100 phone. It features a Snapdragon 425 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (expandable by Micro SD), a headphone jack and NFC technology for mobile payments. There is even a big advantage here: a big battery of 4,000 mAh, which should easily pass the day. It comes Android Oreo.
It's not one of Motorola's best assets – if you're able to spend more, Moto G6 offers more power and more fun components. E5 will do the same, which could make it one of the best options at the $ 100 price point.
