Apple
Picked up by MacRumeursRenowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple will follow 2018 with the same level in 2019. He also placed the ball in one of Apple's most popular iPhone models.
What Kuo reveals is that Apple does not intend to make any significant changes to the external appearance of its 2019 iPhones. The iPhone XS 5.8-inch, iPhone XS Max 6, 5 inches and the iPhone XR 6.1 inches (details) will all be replaced by models of the same size as the iPhone XS (S?) editions with OLED displays and the iPhone XR2 again be limited to LCD.
In addition, Kuo said that Apple did not plan to introduce additional sizes into the iPhone lineup in 2019, which means we can say goodbye to the successor of the beloved iPhone SE. It also means that iPhone owners who prefer smaller devices will be limited to phones of 5.8 inches and more.
Which is a surprise.
The design of the iPhone X will be in its third generation next year, and this year its competitors have already shown that they could offer truly borderless and unobtrusive smartphones such as the Vivo Nex and the Oppo Find X. radically rethink the Galaxy S10 Next year, fingerprint readers will be commonplace – a feature that even the biggest fans of Face ID would admit would be useful to own.
Of course, iPhones go beyond design and new-generation iPhones already have triple rear camera, Face ID 2.0 hardware and Apple Pencil support.
That said, Apple, under Tim Cook, has already shown that he was happy to sit on outdated iPhone designs up to four generations. So yes, the design of the iPhone X is nice but it's not so good …
