There may have been a slight conflict of hours, but within a week of launching the OnePlus 6T, the Shenzhen-based manufacturer is not slow in coming. We saw today publish a sample of photos of the future handset, which should allow to better take advantage of one of the weak points of the flagship package.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has released a cityscape on his Weibo account in Shenzhen. And although it was obviously chosen carefully, we can still read a lot about the photo and what it suggests about the capabilities of 6T.

Next to the caption "Bring your own filter", the image shows a silhouette of skyscrapers under a darkened sky. There is a significant amount of artificial light in the buildings, a significant mix of shadows in the architecture, the rich colors of the low sun, all under the watchful eye of the Moon.
Presumably, the photo was chosen to highlight the low-light capability of the camera and the software processing used to "clean" the image from the dual lens camera. This is also corroborated by last week's reports on a "night mode" in TrueTech's OnePlus 6T:
During a recent conversation, an official representative of OnePlus confirmed to TrueTech, a feature that the imminent OnePlus 6T would host, and never belonged to its ancestors – a night mode for cameras. The night mode of the camera, as we interpret it from the words of the representative, would make it easier to take pictures in low light or at night. The smartphone hardware, in accordance with the software (the camera application), would allow users to capture photos with sufficient clarity and sharpness, with good contrast between black and light and with negligible noise.
The OnePlus 6T will be announced next week in New York on October 29th before it goes on sale on Tuesday November 6th at 10am GMT.
