The newly redesigned Echo Show is $ 100 off when you order two.

Ben Fox Rubin / CNET

Amazon's big event on Thursday gave a ton of new material, including a new version of the Echo Show somewhat ill-conceived. If the new design interests you and you plan to deploy more than one, there is an agreement to make.

For a limited time, you can save $ 100 when you pre-order two Echo shows. Just add two to your cart and the discount will be applied automatically. The device should be available around October 11th.

The Echo Show aims to be the centerpiece of your kitchen or den, adding a screen to the Alexa Smart Speaker mix. The second generation show only yields 10 inches at the level of the iPad, up from 7 inches previously.

It also promises improved sound with a pair of 2-inch neodymium side speakers and reinforced bass. The sound quality was one of the complaints about the first generation model.

Another complaint was the design, but the Show 2.0 looks prettier and has the same type of soft case that is now common to Echo and Echo Dot. The tapered back side hides much of the ugly mass that has detracted from the aesthetics of the first version.

With the rebate, each show will cost you $ 180 instead of $ 230, for a total of $ 360. Could you buy an Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet instead, pair it with a bluetooth speaker and get more or less the same? Yes (see below "Build your own Echo show on the market"), but with the Fire HD 10 priced at $ 150, you would not make as much money.

Of course, you would not be on the hook for two of them, and the Fire HD 10 is currently on sale for $ 110 for premium subscribers. You could also use a Fire HD 8 (only $ 80).

However, if you like the idea of an improved Alexa by screen and want to deploy a pair, it's a good deal. Amazon will no doubt offer Echo-line price breaks around Black Friday, but there is no guarantee that the show will be among them.

bonus: Amazon also introduced the Echo Auto yesterday, a product that I hope will work better than the current range of Alexa-in-your-car gadgets. (All signs indicate yes, partly thanks to the auto eight internal microphones.)

Assuming it works well, I'm definitely going for $ 25. (Probably for $ 50 too, if I have to.)

He's going to sell for $ 50, but if you request an Echo Auto pre-order invitationyou have the chance to buy it for $ 25.

I've tried some third-party gadgets like this one. They simply did not work well, mainly because road noise interfered with voice detection. The Echo Auto can "hear you on everything," says Amazon, including music, an explosive AC, and so on.

I am looking forward to trying this, so you can bet I have submitted my request for the $ 25 option. I only have to wait. (Accepted people will be notified "later this year," says Amazon.)

Bonus deal # 2: This Qi loading pad costs only $ 5!

Bonus Offer 3: There is a Apple AirPower alternative you can buy now for only $ 40.
