It's a shame that the group did not wait for this week to go to dinner because a new feature has been launched on Google Maps today, which greatly helps to solve this problem.
The group scheduling feature that Google announced at its I / O event last spring is being rolled out for Google Maps on Android and iOS this week. A long press on a Maps slot adds it to a restricted list contained in a bubble attached to the right side of the screen. The list balloon can be sent with a text message and all recipients can add or delete spaces. Once the list is stabilized, the group can vote together on a place to go.
The Google Maps group planning feature does not prevent decisions from pausing in any case, but it should make decisions easier and almost always a good thing.
