Apple's new iPhone event can not happen soon enough so we can finally stop the roller coaster of the iPhone rumor. In a few days, we learned the official name of the new iPhone 5.8 inches. But we still do not know what Apple will call the 6.1-inch LCD handset and the larger 6.5-inch version, because we have at least two versions of names for each model. In addition, with regard to prices, we also have different claims, the latest estimate suggesting that the iPhone that everyone would like could be as cheap as we hoped.
A slide leaked in a presentation from China Mobile indicated the supposed names of the new iPhones – iPhone XC (6.1 inches), iPhone XS (5.8 inches) and iPhone XS Plus (6.5 inches). for all models: 5,888 yuan (858 dollars) for iPhone XC, 7,388 yuan (1,076 dollars) for iPhone XS and 8,388 yuan (1,222 dollars) for iPhone XS Plus. At a 17% mark-up, the current 5.8-inch iPhone X sells for 8,316 yuan ($ 1,212), which means its successor will be cheaper, as before.
What the leak does not tell us is how much basic memory each model will have, although 64GB seems to be the obvious choice. In addition, it's hard to know what other storage levels will be available and whether Apple will launch a 512GB iPhone this year. Finally, the leak mentions dual-SIM iPhones, but we do not know how much Apple will charge for them. Apple has never manufactured dual SIM card iPhones until now.
Using these prices as a model, 9to5Mac predicted that the iPhone XC would cost $ 699, as some rumors have said. The iPhone XS would cost $ 899, while the iPhone XS Plus would start at $ 999. These price points have been rumored long before Apple drops the ball, leaving the name of the iPhone XS and marketing images flowing.
Last week, a Bank of America Merrill Lynch research note said the new iPhones would be more expensive than this, starting at $ 799, $ 999 and $ 1,049, respectively. This price structure does not seem to be something that Apple would do.
That said, Apple will announce pricing details on Wednesday, and at least new iPhones will be available for pre-orders on Friday. The new iPhone that everyone will buy this year, the cheaper iPhone 9 / XC / XR could be launched a few weeks later. Dual SIM card iPhones may also experience delays.
