Apple coming soon iPad Pro could be one of its thinnest devices to date, measuring just 5.9mm thick, based on details shared by a Twitter leak manager who previously provided specific details about the iPad. iPhone XS and XR before launch.

According to the Twitter user of CoinCoin, the next iPad Pro will measure only 5.9 mm and, because of its finesse, Apple will no longer include a headphone jack.

The estimate of 5.9 mm corresponds to the supposed dimensions of the iPad Pro reported yesterday on Slashleaks, suggesting that the new iPad Pro would measure 5.86 mm in thickness.

It also matches the current measures of the iPad Pro. The existing 10.5 inch iPad Pro is 6.1 mm thick. It would therefore make sense that a new model is a little bit thinner.

It is likely that the 5.9mm estimate will apply to the smaller of Apple's two Apple iPad Pro models, which should be around 10.5 to 11 inches. The current Apple 12.9-inch iPad Pro is thicker than the 10.5-inch version and measures 6.9 mm thick.

The dimensions of the iPad Pro shared on Slashleaks yesterday suggest that the smallest iPad Pro is 178 cm (7 inches) wide and 247.64 mm (9.7 inches), while the largest model is 215 cm ( 8.5 inches) and 11 inches (280.66 mm)).

We have seen estimates of similar dimensions in previous rumors coming from a Japanese site Mac Otakara, suggesting that the smaller iPad Pro will measure 247.5 mm in height, 178.7 mm in width and 6 mm in thickness, while the larger model will measure 280 mm in height, 215 mm in width and 6, 4 mm thick.

Comparatively, the current iPad Pro 10.5 inches measures 174.1 mm high (250.6 mm), while the 12.9-inch model measures 220.6 mm (8.68 inches) tall (305 , 7 cm) mm).

The frames of the new tablets could measure about 6 mm to the right, up, down and to the sides, the 7.2 mm measurement of the Slashleaks document possibly referring to the thickness of the bezel with the knob lateral included.

Earlier rumors have suggested that the next-generation iPad Pro models will feature thinner glasses, the upper one housing a TrueDepth camera system for Face ID. The bottom frame is thinner than in existing models because Apple plans to remove the Home button.

To come back to the prediction of the lack of headphone jack, this is not the first time we hear this rumor. Back in July Mac Otakara also said that the next models of iPad Pro will not include headphone jack. IPhone models no longer offer headphone jack since the iPhone 7. Apple has instead encouraged customers to use Bluetooth headphones such as AirPod or Lightning solutions.

The shared information on Slashleaks is probably coming from a case maker and, as it relies on data obtained from other sources, it is probably accurate. In addition to the dimensions of the new iPad Pro models, the info also confirms the presence of a new smart connector on the back of the two tablets.

Other rumors according to the iPad Pro 2018 suggest that the device will feature a USB-C port instead of a Lightning port, a faster A12X chip and more support. a second-generation Apple pencil.

It is unclear when the new models of iPad Pro will be announced, but their debut should arrive soon. We expect Apple to host an event sometime in October. By the end of October, this would be the most likely option.
