It may not be long before the first phone with 10 GB of RAM is on the shelf. Although some manufacturers have already worked on 10 GB phones, OPPO could beat them. This is suggested by the new regulatory filings, but unfortunately the first handset with 10GB of RAM may not be entirely new.
As discovered by Ice Universe on Twitter and confirmed by GizmoChina, a new variant of the OPPO Find X has recently made a pass through the Chinese regulator TENAA, this time with 10 GB of RAM under the hood instead of the original 8GB model. It is somewhat surprising to see a new variant of Find X so soon that the original was only released in June.

In any case, this new version of Find X will not have many other differences from its predecessor. GizmoChina points out that all other specifications remain the same between models, so the extra 2GB of RAM could very well be the biggest upgrade of this new model. Of course, there may be other small changes, but these are unknown at this point.
OPPO is not the only company to pursue the 10GB dream. The Vivo Xplay7 is another device that is thought to come with 10GB of RAM. Reports that boast of being launched in January do not really know if Vivo could launch this device.
Of course, it is always possible that the list is inaccurate, but as a rule, this is not really a problem for TENAA. A passage through regulators like this usually means that the phone is about to receive a revelation, so it might not be much longer until OPPO officially removes the veil. Stay tuned because we are going to monitor this progress.
