The next update of Fortnite has been delayed

Epic has announced a delay in the 6.21 update for Fortnite. The update has been postponed to November 1st.

According to Epic, the delay is due to a "last minute problem" discovered in the new version of Fortnite. The game of the Royal Battle had to stop on October 31st for maintenance reasons during the installation of the update, but this is no longer the case. Players should expect Fortnite to fade on November 1st. As in previous Fortnite updates, Release 6.21 Release Notes will only be released on the day of release.

Fortnite is currently at the heart of its event called Fortnitemares, which is themed Halloween. Introduced October 23 in the 6.20 update, the event lasts until November 26 and introduces a new PvP mode that mixes both the popular Fortnite Battle Royale and the original Save The World . "Explore all the treats, exciting appearances and new looks," said Epic Games about the event. "During Fortnitemares, you'll face Cube Monsters in a completely new way to play Battle Royale, and new weapons will help you fight these scary creatures like the Six Shooter and the Fender Hunter Crossbow."

The challenges of Fortnitemares will alternate every two or three days throughout the event. For the moment, the four challenges are those listed below. However, some of the 6.21 update might be a change in the challenges, so feel free to check it now if you have not already done so.

Fortnitemare Battle Royale Challenges

  • Destroy the cube monsters (200) – 500 XP
  • Inflicts damage with assault rifles or pistols at cubic monsters (5,000) – 500 XP
  • Visit a corrupted zone in different matches (7) – 500 XP
  • Dance to different gargoyles (5) – 500 XP

Fortnite is available for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Mobile and PC.
