The publication found the note on the Pokemon Let's Go Eevee & Pikachu pages, as well as on the pages for Splatoon 2, Remastered Dark Souls, Dead cells, FIFA 19 and NBA 2K19. In a statement sent to Gameinformer, Nintendo has confirmed that these titles will not actually be able to access cloud backups. He said that while most Switch games support this feature, others will not make sure that players do not abuse it to regain traded items or to return to higher online multiplayer rankings:
"The vast majority of Nintendo Switch games support Save Data Cloud backup. However, in some games, this feature allows, for example, to recover items traded with other players or to return to a higher online multiplayer ranking. To ensure fair gaming, the Save Data Cloud backup may not be enabled for such games.
It's unfortunate that you can not always access cloud backups when you pay for the service, especially since the feature is available for these games on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. While Nintendo has stated that "the vast majority" of games support it, you can get into the habit of checking first before you can back up your Switch game to the cloud.
