The very popular online game Fortnite continues to take control of the game since Epic Games launched its free Battle Royale mode. Setting records left and right while dominating the media – both the games and the general public – it should not be surprising to see another successful month in the books. Epic Games recently revealed that its number of players for the month of August was impressive with 78.3 million players fighting for this Victory Royale. It's just a months of play – it's crazy!
In their recent Fall Fall article, the studio had this to say about their continued success and how they planned to be better:
"Starting in October, we are opening open competition where everyone can play and be competitive. For this to happen, we had to harden our systems and infrastructure. This revealed weaknesses and allowed us to make targeted improvements to critical systems, such as statistics and servers. We have been working ever since. We are excited to launch the new competition system and we will have more details in the coming weeks. "
