There is still a lot of discussion around Fallout 76 just a few months before its release in November, including how it could last "forever" so pretty popular. But what's interesting is how much the online components have changed the way Bethesda looks at the series.
Pete Hines, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Public Relations, recently talked to Yahoo about how much Fallout 76 makes things happen, especially when it comes to structuring your online world.
"If it was just Fallout 5, it would be like a solo Fallout and here's what's new or different," Hines explained. "We had to do a lot but there will also be a lot of things that people already know or understand. When we say it's a big start, there are a lot of questions. How will it work as an online game because it's so different? Even things like "What does PvP mean" will someone be able to kill me again and again? No, we have a system for that.
He then talked about the revelations provided with QuakeCon a few weeks ago, talking at length about systems and answering questions from fans – even though again did not disclose when the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. would take place.
"So, at QuakeCon, we said," Here's how it works, here's the disadvantage of becoming the kind of person who kills people, "said Hines." Here are the negative connotations and everyone likes it. As for whether this will change the way things are done in Fall from there, Hines would not say. It seems like the team is focusing on one thing at a time – and that includes Fallout 76 the best possible.
Fallout 76 should arrive November 14 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
