The presentation of China Mobile presupposes the names 'iPhone XC', 'iPhone XS Plus' for iPhones 2018

A leak (relatively brief) published on Weibo this morning aims to show a slide of an internal presentation to China Mobile, one of the largest iPhone operators in the world (via Macotakara). He claims that the 6.1-inch model calls "iPhone XC" and that the new high-end 6.5-inch phone is "iPhone XS Plus". It also raises some additional details on prices and availability …

Leaks like these have been accurate in the past. Obviously, it's possible to manipulate slide games like this, so be skeptical.

Our exclusive few weeks has confirmed the name of the main series under the name of iPhone XS. For the biggest phone, we heard that Apple considered the name "iPhone XS Max", but this report suggests the opposite.

This presentation says that the name of the 6.5-inch model is iPhone XS Plus. The name of the cheaper 6.1-inch phone was blurred. Various names have been surrounded, including "Xr", "XC" and others. This supposed "leak" indicates that the name is iPhone XC.

Since the 6.1-inch iPhone launches into several color options, the C suffix would make sense. The name of Apple is never guaranteed to follow the logic.

The slide also indicates that the iPhone XS series is specified for Dual SIM variants, although it appears that these references would be launched after the original scheduled release date of September 21st.

This image also represents another entry in the iPhone draw. It tells the iPhone XC at 5888 Chinese yuan, the iPhone XS at 7388 yuan and the iPhone XS Plus at 8388 yuan.

Chinese prices include a 17% sales tax. The current iPhone 5.8 inches is sold at 8316 yuan, for comparison. Using these rates, this leakage could make the XC price of the iPhone start around $ 700, which coincides with recent reports of a starting price of $ 699, directly replacing the iPhone 8 in the current range. The new 5.8-inch iPhone 5S would cost around $ 900, and the iPhone XS Plus (if so called) about $ 1000.

That would be the prices for basic models with 64GB of storage. The XC will be available in 64GB or 256GB configurations, and XS models will reach 512GB according to the latest reports. Presumably, dual SIM variants would have an additional cost premium.
