PC gamers, crypto-miners and other GPU enthusiasts have been waiting for more than two years for the next big corporate graphics card – which is quite unusual in this space. And yet, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang recently told reporters that the cards were still "far" .

But some new leaks suggest we could see the GeForce GTX 11 series much earlier than that – probably this fall, and maybe even August.

It's after this Brainbean video, where a Lenovo product manager is hinting that his new gaming computer will have graphics from the GeForce 11 series this fall – combined with a VideoCardz report that claims that Nvidia sends press invitations for a possible announcement at the Gamescom conference on 21 August.

Lenovo's product manager may have expressed himself poorly, but otherwise, HotHardware says it will be the first time Nvidia's next GPU will be called 11 series (and therefore GTX 1180, GTX 1170 etc.) instead of GeForce 20 series or something like that.

Nvidia and Lenovo declined to comment.
