The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 debuts in white for the holidays, but not in the US

Until a few years ago, an all-white color option was commonplace on just about every flagship smartphone. But this is no longer the case. Apple's devices have replaced white with silver, while other manufacturers have opted for different shades of the color spectrum. It seems, however, that the time has passed since white is seen as a new color option, as is the case for Samsung for the Galaxy Note 9.

In the months that followed the launch of its latest phones, Samsung often releases new color variants to improve sales and attract the remaining customers who have resisted. What is surprising this time is that the last option is a simple and clean white. Nicknamed officially "First Snow White", the Galaxy Note 9 variant was announced in Taiwan this week.

The device will be marketed in early December at a price of NT $ 30,900, or about US $ 999. Although it has the same specifications as the current Note 9, it includes a pen S all white. The bad news is that Samsung's latest color option seems to be a region-specific version. That's right, there is currently no plan to release the 9 white note outside of Taiwan.

According to Samsung, the first white snow note 9 will be released to commemorate Taiwan's first snowfall, which explains why the color is used as a special variant limited to the country. But that does not mean it will not end up in other regions, which Samsung has done many times in the past. If you are in the United States, it would probably be best to start keeping an eye open in early 2019.
