WhatsApp will soon allow you to set up group chats where only the administrator can send messages.

Once iOS and Android users have updated to the latest version, they will be able to create groups where only one member will have the power. "One way to use the groups is to receive important announcements and information, including parents and teachers in schools, community centers and non-profit organizations," the company wrote.

"We introduced this new setting so that administrators could have better tools for these use cases."
