The world's first smartphone with 10 GB of RAM is about to launch – BGR

Android smartphones already come with a huge amount of RAM, with flagship products displaying 4 to 8 GB of memory. The more RAM a phone has, the more applications it manages, and we saw it earlier this year. A variety of comparisons between the best Android phones and the iPhone X revealed that the more a handset is loaded in RAM, the more likely it is that it beats the iPhone into some type of speed test. And the Chinese smartphone maker Oppo seems to think that we need more than 8GB on a smartphone.

This seems exaggerated for a mobile device. But again, it was the same for 8 GB it was not so long ago.

The first phone to have 10GB of RAM will be a variant of the Oppo Find X, the phone similar to Galaxy S9 that came out earlier this year with a screen almost without notch. This is the phone with the sliding selfie camera.

A list for the Find X model above is already available on TENAA, the Chinese Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, GizmoChina reports. Well, the list was already there, but it was updated to the Find X PAFM00 model number. Only RAM has changed, everything else has remained the same.

It is unclear when the phone will be launched or will be available in other markets, but expect to pay a lot of money for this extra memory. GizmoChina estimates that the phone will cost 7,999 yuan ($ 1,163) in China.

The Find X is perhaps the world's first smartphone with 10GB of RAM, but it is likely that others will create similar devices. Earlier this year, it was revealed that Asus wanted to make a 10GB version of its first gaming phone, the ROG Phone. The word on the street is that Asus did not do it because he did not have enough space to hold the extra RAM.
