For some strange reason, Nintendo has not added Garfield to any Super Smash Bros. game so far, and it does not seem like that will change with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. And it's a shame, I mean, did they play the role Garfield Games? Each of them is a classic of all time. And what's more cool than Garfield fighting Mario, Captain Falcon and Ice Climbers in a fight to the death? Nothing.
That said, while Nintendo blindly ignores the legitimate heir of the Super Smash Bros. throne (this is not Waluigi), a Chicago-based artist by the name of Shawn Bowers is not.
In a new project that he shares via Instagram, Bowers did not imagine what Garfield would look like in the game, but he did his best: redefine what smash the characters would look like Garfield.

Captain Falcfield is not a real captain. Closer to home, he was an associate captain of his JV math team in high school, and the only reason he had to do that was that former deputy captain Darren Lieflen had been transferred to Idaho. But once he learned to drive, it did not matter. At the wheel of his 2001 Pontiac Aztek, he was captain … of the road, of his life, of his destiny. Linkfield had found his trusty weapon, Swordie, in a garbage dump a few years ago. The garbage dump is gone, so have no idea how to get cooler swords or anything like that. It's a Panera bread and a Ross dress for less now. Whatever the case may be, then he found that dog sword and they became very good friends, and they told each other all their secrets, but then it turned out that Swordie was (get- the) a hacker. And he sold all the secrets of Linkfield on the dark Web, and Linkfield was just super betrayed and humiliated. Plus, he did not know how to access the black web, so he could not even know who was buying them. So, Linkfield FLUNG Swordie in the Great Muncie River and Swordie probably drowned. But he still needed a sword, so he had a replica of his former best friend printed in 3D. Linkfield immediately told him all his secrets, praying that the sword would not gain any sensitivity. Once, there were two Garfield astronaut cats that lived and worked on the moon. They were the only two cats to work in their Moon Base, so of course they fell in love and "got along well." 58-67 days later, a kitten was born in space. And they were all happy, for a time, to live on the moon like a beautiful family. But then, the kitten grew up a bit and joined Internet chat rooms and discovered the existence of a fighting club on Earth.
