This Apple AirPod wireless charging case is delayed, so Huawei is doing it instead – BGR

One of the new minor products that we expected at Apple's fall iPhone event last week was a new wireless charging case for Apple's AirPods. Since Apple favors wireless charging on all of its new mobile accessories, a wireless charging case for AirPods, a wirelessly chargeable box, seems like a logical product.

Unfortunately, wireless charging is a problem for Apple right now. The AirPower wireless charger, which it unveiled last fall next to the iPhone X, is still untraceable, and the company has scoured the references of its website. Basically, if you want a new wireless charger at the moment, you have to go somewhere else than Apple – and Huawei wants to do it somewhere.

Roland Quandt, a proven mobile device leaker, shared images of two upcoming Huawei products on Twitter:

In more images, it shows the Freebuds 2 Pro, which look like an almost perfect AirPods imitation. According to Quandt, the Freebuds have three hours of listening, extended to 20 hours with fees, just like the AirPods.

Unlike the AirPods, however, it seems that the FreeBuds 2 Pro housing incorporates Qi wireless charging, as shown in the picture. More … useful, the case can also be charged wirelessly from the Huawei Mate 20 Pro smartphone, if you desperately need more juice on the go. The case can also be charged via USB-C if you prefer.

Some additional images of the Mate 20 Pro have also been released, showing a design that could be described as "Samsung Note 9 but with a notch". Huawei will host a launch event on October 16th. look at the new devices then.
