Toyota Camry and Avalon TRD Teaser

Toyota's TRD family of vehicles will increase by two in the near future. The brand announced that it would debut with the Toyota Camry TRD and Avalon TRD at the 2018 auto show in Los Angeles in a tweet on Thursday.

According to the official Twitter account of the brand, the TRD family will expand in parallel with its current stock of TRD trucks and the teaser image above. The photo shows more clearly the TRD Camry with a front splitter, black TRD wheels and red brake calipers. The Avalon TRD is also equipped with a similar splitter under its bumper, but the Camry conceals the rest of the full-size sedan.

We could imagine that the exterior modifications will also include more aggressive body elements along the sides and backs of both sedans, and perhaps a rear spoiler for better measurement. It is unlikely that we will see any major performance changes on the Camry or Avalon TRD, but we may see an improvement in the brakes and suspension settings for better maneuverability settings. TRD vehicles with badges are usually not stickers, so we are optimistic. Both sedans will receive their badge.

For years, Toyota has been given a mission to upset its passenger car brand image, with standard Camry and Avalon leading the charge. Toyota has also added a manual transmission option for the Corolla hatchback to make things better. Of course, the return of the Supra means that the brand will once again have a sports car banner. We'll see the TRD Camry TRD and Avalon TRD debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month.
