TP-Link, a network equipment for consumers and businesses, unveiled a new gaming router for the 4K video streaming era.
The MU-MIMO Archer C5400X three-band gaming router is a mouthful, but it is designed to provide a strong and reliable Wi-Fi connection for high-bandwidth games and 4K video streaming.
Equipped with the TP-Link HomeCare system, Archer C5400X routers deliver Trend Micro-optimized virus and security protection.
"Archer C5400X is our most powerful gaming router, designed to maximize the performance that players need and give your gaming platform the improvement it deserves," said Louis Liu, CEO of TP-Link. USA. "This feature-rich router is designed to connect more devices quickly and accurately to maximize throughput and minimize delays, whether you play alone, with your family, or have a LAN party with friends.
The Archer C5400X provides Wi-Fi throughout the home and includes a 64-GHz quad-core processor, four co-processors and 1 GB of main memory. It offers Wi-Fi speeds of up to 5400 megabits per second over a 2.4 GHz (1000 Mbps) band and two 5 GHz (2167 Mbps) bands. It has three Wi-Fi bands, eight Gigabit LAN ports and a Gigabit WAN port.
The dynamic optimization engine provides priority performance with a game mode, so you can get a tactical advantage during hot raids, PvP matches and ranked matches. It's also great for watching immersive 4K movie streams. TP-Link competes with competitors such as the Netgear Nighthawk Pro Gaming Router and the new D-Link DIR-878 Gigabit Router and the Gigabit DIR-882 Router.
The Archer C5400X uses Smart Connect to eliminate conjectures on connection devices. When Smart Connect is enabled, the router identifies the optimal Wi-Fi band for each device and directs them to the correct band, balancing the load for optimal performance. It also uses MU-MIMO and Airtime Fairness to manage Wi-Fi, maximizing total throughput and minimizing delays.
To further enhance your gaming and broadcast experience, C5400X routers are equipped with RangeBoost technology to provide high reception quality and sensitivity from a distance. This allows you to keep your devices connected throughout the house, from the basement to the garage and even in the yard, with greater reach over traditional routers.
